Programming • Java • grades 7–11

From the first lines of code to an application of your own

I help pupils develop algorithmic thinking, understand Java foundations and create small working programs independently.

  • Pupils in grades 7–11
  • Java and OOP foundations
  • A first project of their own
Who it is for

Programming for school pupils — from zero, at a comfortable pace

Pupils can start with no experience or organise knowledge gained at school, in a club or through an online course.

  • School pupils who have never programmed before
  • Pupils who need help with Java or school computer-science tasks
  • Pupils who want to understand code rather than copy ready-made answers
  • Pupils who want to build their first application
What we can cover

From an algorithm to a first independent program

Topics form a clear practical path and are reinforced through small programs.

01

Algorithms and logic

02

Variables and data types

03

Conditions and loops

04

Methods

05

Java language foundations

06

Object-oriented programming

07

Finding and fixing errors

08

A first independent application

How it works

Less passive watching, more deliberate coding

The goal is not simply to obtain working code, but to understand why the solution is designed that way.

  1. 1

    Define the goal

We consider the pupil’s grade, current level, interests and desired outcome.

  2. 2

    Understand the principle

We study the concept through a small transparent example without unnecessary magic.

  3. 3

    Write code

The learner implements the solution and receives questions and focused feedback.

  4. 4

    Build an application

We connect the topics in a small project the pupil understands and can continue developing.

Outcome

Code the learner can explain and extend

That matters more than mechanically repeating a tutorial or copying an AI-generated answer.

  • Understanding of basic Java constructs
  • Ability to design a solution algorithm
  • Ability to read, run and debug code
  • A first application built independently
Format

How lessons are organised

  • One-to-one online
  • Usually 60 minutes
  • Shared work in code and an IDE
  • Small practical assignments
  • A learning project based on the pupil’s interests
